Miguelitos Ice Cream Philippines Opens First-Ever Outdoor Trailer Branch in Alabang

Miguelitos Ice Cream Philippines proudly unveiled its first-ever outdoor trailer branch in Molito, Alabang on Wednesday, August 20.

The anticipated event gathered important personalities such as stakeholders, Actor and Ambassador Piolo Pascual, along with Team Payaman’s Cong TV and Viy Cortez-Velasquez. 

Grand Opening

The event started with a quick blessing of the trailer through a short prayer and candle lighting.  

To officially mark the new milestone, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting was participated by the franchise group from Opulent Beauty Enterprises OPC and C.A.J. Food Hub and Opulent Enterprises OPC, together with their Marketing Manager Mr. Marc Villalobos, Miguelitos’ Brand Ambassador Mr. Piolo Pascual, Team Payaman’s Mr. Lincoln Velasquez and Mrs. Viy Cortez-Velasquez, and the Aman Family (Founders of Miguelitos International Corporation). 

In an exclusive interview, Marketing Manager Mr. Marc Villalobos, representing the franchise group, shared their excitement about the new food partnership after years of focusing primarily on beauty products. 

“Nagfo-focus kasi kami sa beauty products and we wanted to expand our business kasi food is an essential needs ng mga tao. So, we want our customers and audience na iba naman ang tangkilikin nila, hindi lang beauty products, kundi food naman,” Villalobos shared.

“Ito yung first trailer branch ng Miguelitos, so bigger and trendier setup na. So since nasa South, madali lang siyang puntahan,” he added. 

VVIPs made sure to celebrate Miguelitos and its franchisees in their congratulatory speeches for the newest milestone of the brand. 

“I’m also from the South, so it’s nice to have a branch of Miguelitos here. I’ve been a witness to the success of the Miguelitos, not just in the Philippines, but we’re also expanding internationally.  What I’m really proud about is that it’s locally made for all Filipinos. Tangkilikin natin ang sariling atin!,” actor Pascual said.  

Soon after, the wines were toasted, and coins and chocolates were tossed to share the sweetness of the occasion to attendees which also symbolizes luck, prosperity, and good fortune for the new business venture.

Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) invited to the launch engaged with their supporters, while customers enjoyed free unlimited Happy Cones ice creams throughout the day.

“The outdoor trailer, at first, we were thinking of food trucks. With our existing franchisees in the Philippines, it’s always inside malls, shopping centers, or foodcourt areas, and medyo masikip na with other brands. That’s why we came up with the outdoor trailer [concept] for those franchisee na gusto mag-expand outside malls,“  Aman said. 

“In terms of long-term goals for the brand, really, we’re still continuously improving. Definitely, safety, that is our top priority. In terms of expansion in the PH, marami pang locations na pwedeng paglagyan even though we’re 600+ now in the PH. Another thing is expansion outside the country. Right now, available ang Miguelitos Ice Cream in Dubai, Australia, UAE, UK, London, New Zealand, and Africa,“ Aman added. 

When asked about his recommended ice cream flavor, he shared that his personal favorite is Pistachio, Miguelitos’ newly launched flavor and their current best-seller in the market, also available at the newest Alabang branch.
