To celebrate her 30th birthday, Team Payaman vlogger Viy Cortez-Velasquez was surprised with a memorable debut-themed party by her loved ones.

What started off as a celebration of Ivy and Jeff Ragos’ renewal of vows quickly turned into a fun and memorable debut-themed surprise party for Viy Cortez-Velasquez.
To mark her 30th birthday in an unforgettable way, Viy’s sisters secretly organized the entire event behind her back.
Just as Viy was about to deliver her speech for her sister Ivy, she was completely stunned to know that the party was actually held in her honor.
“This event is actually a surprise debut celebration for you, Viy Cortez-Velasquez!” announced Host Jam.
Long before the big day, Viy’s sister, Ivy, had already set the plan by inviting Viy and the rest of Team Payaman to her supposed vow renewal with her husband, Jeff.
A month prior to the event, Ivy and their parents worked tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating with vendors, event planners, and guests to ensure the surprise went off successfully.
Her family revealed that Viy was one of the sisters who didn’t get to have a traditional debut for her 18th birthday, which is why they decided to make it up to her now with this special debut-themed celebration.
“This time around, gusto ko pong ma-experience ni Viy ‘yung bagay na hindi niya na-experience nung 18 niya po. Sana lang po talaga ma-surprise siya at maging masaya siya sa gabing ito,” says her sister Ivy.
The event was held at Addy’s & Brew + Bakes Cafe in Tagaytay City, where Viy’s family and dearest friends joined the fun celebration. All thanks to Host Jam for making the event run seamlessly.
Adding to the fun were the delicious food and treats from The Confectioners Lab, Mixologist Mobile Bar, 10TwentyNine Mobile Grill, Kimaes Party Bilao, Dim Sam, and Remilly’s Yema Cake.
Memorable moments were also captured through the lens of Freshminds Photography and Say Riz 360 Photo and Videobooth. Guests also danced to the music provided by Black Box Audio Systems.
Attendees also took home souvenirs from The Greasy Lab and LB Flower Cafe, while Viy wore a head-turning dress from The Fitting Room by Estrella.
Just like usual debut celebrations, Viy heard messages from her loved ones, danced with her 18 roses, and blew out her cake brought by her husband, Cong TV, who also shared his message.
“Matupad pa [sana] ang mga pangarap nating dalawa sa buhay. Malayo na ‘yung nilakbay natin, pero alam kong marami pa tayong mga bagay na gustong maabot, hindi lang para sa atin, kung hindi para sa mga taong nakapaligid satin,” says Cong.
Viy ended the party with a grateful heart: “Ganon kahalaga sa akin itong 30th birthday ko, kasi feeling ko magma-mature na ako after nito.”
“Ate, thank you so much. Hindi mo na ito kailangang gawin. ‘Yung mga ibinibigay ko sa inyo, hindi ko kailangan ng kapalit. Ginagawa ko ‘yun dahil mahal ko kayo, dahil kusa ko ‘yun gusto ibigay. Ganon ko kayo kamahal.” Viy added.
