Team Payaman’s Kidlat and Tiny Buds Kids Unveil New Hair Care Collection for Active Kids

Parents, kids, and content creators gathered at Kidzoona Kids’ Box Jumbo in SM Center Muntinlupa last July 26, 2026, as Tiny Buds Kids officially unveiled their upcoming haircare collection with Team Payaman’s Kidlat.

Joining the celebration were Daddy Cong Velasquez and Mommy Viy Cortez-Velasquez, who showed full support for this collaboration. The launch featured interactive activities, expert parenting discussions, and an exclusive preview of the new collection created for active children.

Tiny Buds x Kidlat

One of the event’s highlights was a discussion featuring Mommy Viy, Ms. Lorina Tan of Tiny Buds, and pediatrician Dr. Grace Sitjar-Igros, who shared the inspiration behind the collaboration and emphasized the importance of proper hair and scalp care for growing children. 

The session also gave parents practical tips on building healthy hair care habits for kids with active lifestyles.

During the conversation, Mommy Viy shared that Tiny Buds has been part of Kidlat’s routine since he was a baby. As he grew older and became more active through school, soccer, swimming, and other activities, she realized there was a need for a hair care line made specifically for children his age. 

Such experience eventually became the starting point for her collaboration with the brand. “Masaya ako na finally, mayroon nang Tiny Buds Kids line para sa mga batang tulad ni Kidlat,” Mommy  Viy shared. 

Daddy Cong Velasquez also shared how bath time has become one of his favorite bonding moments with Kidlat. “Hangga’t kaya mo, gawin mong laro para sa mga bata. ‘Yun ‘yung mundo nila,” he said, explaining that turning everyday routines into fun activities helps make them more enjoyable for kids.

Lorina Tan revealed that the collaboration had been in the works for years, with Mommy Viy and her family actively involved throughout the product development process. According to her, the products went through several rounds of testing and refinement before being finalized, with Mommy Viy personally reviewing everything from the formulations to the packaging to make sure they met her family’s standards.

While guests were given a first look at the collection, Mommy Viy, Daddy Cong, and Kuya Kidlat also visited the activity stations and interacted with attendees as families had the chance to experience the upcoming products firsthand. 

The lineup includes a shampoo, conditioner, and hair perfume & detangler, all designed to become part of an easy everyday hair care routine for active kids. 

Hair Care for Active Kids

Meanwhile, Dr. Grace Sitjar-Igros led an educational session on children’s scalp hygiene, explaining why kids tend to sweat more than adults, the importance of proper bathing habits, and how choosing gentle, age-appropriate hair care products can help keep children’s hair and scalp healthy as they grow. 

Also present at the event was Mommy Pat Velasquez-Gaspar, who shared a reminder for fellow parents when choosing hair care products for kids. 

“Dapat kids-friendly yung kanilang ingredients dahil ang mga skin ng babies natin ay sobrang sensitive,” she said. 

The Tiny Buds team added that the upcoming Kids Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Perfume & Detangler were specially formulated with gentle ingredients for children’s delicate hair and scalp.

Also present at the event were Mommy Vien Iligan-Velasquez and Daddy Junnie Boy, who shared their family’s long-time trust in the brand. 

“Sila Mavi and Viela, Tiny Buds talaga sila, so sobrang saya ko na mayroon na ring line si Kidlat dito sa Tiny Buds,” Mommy Vien shared, expressing her excitement over the newest addition to the brand’s lineup for kids.
