The Proposal: How Cong TV Asked Viy Cortez to Marry Him?

The secret is finally out! It’s a yes, and yes, YouTube power couple Cong TV and Viy Cortez are finally engaged and set to wed soon! Yay!

Since Cong celebrated his 31st birthday alongside the baptism of their firstborn son, Kidlat, netizens have speculated that the legendary vlogger will propose during the momentous occasion. 

But what really transpired before the much-awaited “proposal of the year?”

The Plan

In an exclusive interview, Cong TV told VIYLine Media Group (VMG) that he had been planning the proposal two weeks before his birthday celebration and Kidlat’s Christening. 

The first-time dad revealed that he planned to pop the question on the night of October 27 while the entire gang was jamming through the live performance of the band Agsunta. 

However, it seems like it was not the right timing as Viy went to bed early that night to look after their 3-month-old son, Zeus Emmanuel Cortez Velasquez. 

“Kahapon pa ko naghahanap ng tyempo kaso natulog sya ng maaga. Saktong-sakto rin na ngayon kasi nandito yung mga magulang nya.”

Cong invited Viy’s parents to join them in Amadeo the following day to make the proposal more special. 

“Worth the wait! Hindi ako makapaniwala!” Viy said after wearing the ring. 

To which, Cong replied: “Deserve mo yan dahil napakagaling mong babae.”

Cong also told VMG that the genius idea to make all the witnesses record themselves was part of his plan to make sure to capture everyone’s reaction. 

YouTube power couple Cong TV and Viy Cortez have been in a relationship for seven years and recently welcomed their first born son, Zeus Emmanuel Cortez Velasquez, a.k.a Kidlat.
