After conquering the world of cosmetics, skincare, food and beverages, and media business, Viy Cortez enters a new business venture close to her heart.
In a recent Facebook post, the renowned YouTube content creator announced that reading materials and educational toys would soon be available on VIYLine’s online shopping platforms.
But the 26-year-old VIYLine CEO is not new to selling educational materials as it was their family’s primary source of income back in the days.
Years before the internet took over our daily lives, Viy Cortez and her family were busy visiting schools in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Her parents were doing book fairs and school exhibits to sell books, encourage children to read more, and promote wisdom that “Enriching minds is a way of life.”
Selling educational materials has been the bread and butter of the Cortez family for more than two decades. That is why, when the Cortez patriarch opened up the idea of adding books to VIYLine products, Viy immediately jumped into it.
Aside from having a nostalgic moment, the vlogger-turned-entrepreneur also realized how this would benefit her and Cong TV’s firstborn son, Zeus Emmanuel Cortez Velasquez, a.k.a Baby Kidlat.
“Nag-iisip ako ng pwedeng ilabas (na brand) under Kidlat, ito na yun! Hindi sabon, hindi lotion, kundi ito!”
“Sinabi ko na kay Cong (noong) buntis palang ako, ayaw ko na mag tablet si Kidlat. Sana mapanindigan ko. Lalo na unli educational books and toys na si Kidlat.”
As a first-time mom, Viy also felt the need to share a valuable product with her fellow Gen-Z parents to avoid children’s over-exposure to gadgets.
TP Kids by VIYLine Media Group – Publishing will offer different Filipiniana published books for kids of ages one and above. The educational materials are guaranteed affordable since they will have a price range that starts from Php 50.
All these items will be available SOON in TP Kids’ official Shopee and Lazada stores, Viy Cortez’s official TikTok shop.
Soon, TP Kids will also visit schools and Book Fairs to bring educational materials closer to kids and even kids at heart.
Meanwhile, Viy Cortez’s mommy fans expressed their excitement over TP Kids and made sure to support her new venture.
