“Strategic Planning is nothing without strategic vision.” Guided by this principle, the Viyline Group of Companies held its second annual Strategic Planning session at Hannah’s Garden Event Place in Calamba, Laguna.
This year’s Strategic Planning session focused on how to turn the company’s big goals into real action. Viyline’s General Manager Rolando Bañaria Cortez guided the team, explaining how everyone can work together to help the company succeed.
The Goal
At the heart of the meeting was the company’s powerful vision—“Create a responsible enterprise that will help uplift the welfare and spirit of the lives of every Filipino.”
To effectively pursue this vision, the team was strongly reminded of the company’s mission, which serves as their daily operational guide:
- To create jobs;
- To become a responsible company, where nation building is always in mind;
- To create a business environment of faith, hope & love;
- To give emphasis on the importance of character and work ethics; and
- To believe that every endeavor and success comes from the grace of Almighty God.
Building Better Leaders
Viyline’s Strategic Planning was joined by Coach Santi Mersado, a leadership expert. Instead of a long lecture, Coach Santi used fun activities and motivational talks to keep everyone energized.
He taught the employees that anyone can be a leader by taking pride in their work and staying committed to their roles.
Value of Teamwork
Beyond the motivational talks, the event included several team challenges to teach important lessons beyond the daily office routine.
These activities powerfully helped participants sharpen their observational skills, creative problem-solving, and reinforce the importance of teamwork. Everyone was reminded that the company remains strong only when every individual works together toward a common goal.
Most of all, the retreat offered an opportunity for everyone to relax, recharge, and clear their minds while enjoying nature.
Viyline Group of Companies CEO Viy Cortez-Velasquez also graced the 2-day event, delivering an encouraging talk on how to effectively manage stress and the importance of job commitment. Her message left the team feeling supported and motivated for the busy year ahead.
The 2026 Strategic Planning session was a success making each and everyone feeling refreshed, united, and ready to achieve even greater growth in the years to come.
