A few hours after its release in the market, Viyline Skincare Sunshade, a tinted sunscreen, has been making waves on social media.
Despite the positive reviews, consumers noticed a few inconsistencies, prompting them to share their honest feedback on the product.
After a thorough investigation, Viyline Group of Companies CEO, Ms. Viy Cortez Velasquez, finally addresses and explains the science behind the unwanted inconsistencies in one of her top selling products.
In a recently uploaded video post, Viyline CEO, Ms. Viy Cortez Velasquez, finally addressed the issue circulating around Viyline Skincare’s “Sunshade.”
Viy received negative feedback concerning the product’s blendability, absorption, and its compatibility with different skin types.
After a comprehensive investigation, Viy humbly shared the results of her team’s findings regarding the incident.
“Ang forecast ko po na stocks [para] sa buong March ay 30,000 pcs lang,” Viy initially disclosed.
Due to high demand, Viy immediately coordinated with her manufacturer to explore the possibility of supplying twice the number of initial stocks delivered to the Viyline office.
Viy also openly shared that due to the high volume of orders, her manufacturer would not be able to supply the products in their original packaging, leading them to use temporary packaging throughout the month of March.
“March 14, d’yan po ako unang nakakita ng isang honest feedback na hindi na siya nabe-blend at namumuo-muo siya,” Viy shared.
The Viyline CEO admitted that she was initially in denial, as the number of positive reviews outweighed the negative ones.
“Noong March 20, mayroon po akong pinost sa blue app, and still, in denial ako dahil ang honest feedback po niya ay hindi po kumakapit sa mukha at mahirap siyang i-blend,” Viy told the viewers.
Starting March 21, Viy received numerous negative reviews, prompting her to halt the release of Viyline Skincare Sunshade in the market and initiate a thorough investigation.
“Dahil po sa demand at pinilit ng aking manufacturer na i-supply ang araw-araw na delivery, hindi po nila nagawang i-cure nang tama ang mga sumunod na batch.”
“Kapag hindi na-cure nang maayos ang Sunshade, mawawala po yung pagiging blendable niya,” Viy added.
The Viyline CEO admitted that, due to being in denial, she impulsively posted a photo of a content creator sharing an honest review of Viyline Skincare Sunshade.
Viy immediately apologized to the content creator, saying, “Kinahapunan, nag-reach out ako sa kanya, humingi ako ng sorry kasi narealize ko ‘yung pagkakamali kong ginawa.”
Despite taking the comments to heart, Ms. Viy Cortez Velasquez listened to her consumers’ feedback and used it to further develop her product.
Upon a comprehensive analysis, Viy’s team determined that certain batches had started to release with inconsistent quality.
“Lahat po ng naka-order ng March 11 to March 24 ay aking irerefund,” Viy told her supporters.
She invited all customers who ordered from March 11 to 24 to message Viyline Skincare’s official Facebook page with their order number to process a refund.
“Gusto ko po na ipakita sa inyo at iparamdam na mahalaga kayo sa akin, lalo na sa mga nagtiwala at bumili.”
“Muli, humihingi ako ng pasensya sa mga nangyari. Humihingi ako ng paumanhin dahil late ko narealize na gusto n’yo lang naman akong tulungang ma-improve ang aking product,” Viy concluded on a heartfelt note.
