Team Payaman Reacts to Facebook and Instagram Glitch

Team Payaman content creators Kevin Hufana and Mau Anlacan are among the social media users who made noise on their accounts last night, March 5, when Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms under Meta had an apparent glitch.

Some social media users started sharing that their Facebook accounts got logged out at around 10 PM.

Parang nag brown out sa buong mundo,” Mau with 26K Facebook followers jokingly shared on her status.

Meanwhile, other users were left anxious about whether their accounts had been hacked.

Kevin, with 174K TikTok followers, did not miss the opportunity to create a funny video about how group chats can be leaked if the automatic log-out was due to possible hacking.

‘Yung bigla kang na-logout at kinabahan kasi magle-leak ‘yung gc n’yo,” Kevin captioned his video with a crying filter on his face.

Problem Solved

After massive mini-heart attacks by Facebook users, Andy Stone, Meta Communications Director, was quick to acknowledge that they are aware of the problems being experienced by their users.

Over 300,000 outages for Facebook and 40,000 for Instagram were reported on the tracking website downdetector.com.

We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.

After over an hour, Stone announced that they had resolved the issue and apologized to the affected netizens.

We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” Stone said.

With relief that the Facebook problem got fixed, Team Payaman’s Mau Anlacan quickly shared a funny status on how she expected a class suspension for the next day affected by the glitch.

Pag balik ng FB, una ko chineck kung may pasok ba bukas. Akala ko apektado,“ Mau quipped.
