Yiv Cortez Opens First Food Business Venture ‘Yiva’

Earlier this month, Viy Cortez’s youngest sister, Yiv Cortez, opened a new food business offering delicious products now available for online orders.

YIVA offers food delicacies such as freshly baked Lasagna and the OG Christmas merienda, Bibingka.

“Lasagna kasi gusto ko ‘yun. Bibingka naman kasi sakto nagustuhan nila Kuya Cong and Ate Viy ‘yun. Gustong gusto namin ‘yung Bibingka sa Cagayan so why not bring it here?” Yiv disclosed.

The 19-year-old college student and entrepreneur told VIYLine Media Group (VMG) that her ever-supportive family pushed her to venture into the food business.

“Nagtulak sa akin is myself and of course, [the] people that are close to my heart because to be honest, matagal ko na kasing iniisip na mag-business and ngayon ko lang s’ya as in nahanap, ‘yung right product para sa akin.”

She also said that her sisters, Viy and Ivy Cortez-Ragos, who are both entrepreneurs, inspired her to be one as well.

“It’s very evident naman kung gaano sila [Ate Ivy and Ate Viy] ka-hardworking in terms of their business, so na-inspire ako,” she proudly shared.

Yiv also revealed that, at the moment, the business would focus on producing the best Lasagna and Bibingka in town. But she guarantees YIVA will not close its doors to other food products.
