Lincoln Velasquez, popularly known as Cong TV, is undoubtedly one of the most-followed and influential content creators in the Philippines. His distinct wit and charm gave birth to the country’s most-popular vlogger group, Team Payaman.
Just recently, the Team Payaman founder was hailed one of “The 100 Most Powerful People in the Philippines” by Esquire Philippines.
Joining the 30-year-old vlogger on the list are some of the famous names in the business, entertainment, sports, politics, and social media world, including Ely Buendia, Heart Evangelista, Manny Pacquiao, Jaime Augusto Zobel De Ayala, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and more.
YouTube’s Clown Prince of Comedy
Esquire Philippines explained that being powerful means having authority, control, and influence. Having Cong TV on the prestigious list only shows that they believe Team Payaman’s headmaster embodies all three descriptions with his current stature in the world of content creation.
The digital news source described Cong TV as “one of the pioneer vloggers and content creators” in the country, adding that he was one of the few social media influencers who have reached a million subscribers on YouTube.
The digital news source also dubbed Cong as YouTube’s “Clown Prince of Comedy,” with a diverse 10.6 million YouTube subscribers and 6.7 million Facebook followers.
Cong TV’s reaction
In an exclusive interview, Cong TV told VIYLine Media Group (VMG) that while he is thankful for the recognition, he believes that other influencers deserve such acknowledgment.
“Mas maraming may deserve na ma-pwesto don, pero salamat pa rin dahil napili,” Cong said.
“Meron siguro silang nakita, pero hindi ko alam kung ano yung nakita nila! Esquire, salama sa inyo!” he added.
