SM at 40: Ivy Cortez-Ragos and Family Joins Celebration of SM Supermalls’ 4th Decade

The family of Ivy Cortez-Ragos joins the celebration of SM Supermall’s 40th year anniversary through a fun grocery bonding at SM Supermarket.

40 Super Years

During their visit, Viy Cortez-Velasquez’s older sister, Ivy Cortez-Ragos highlighted the exclusive bundle deal promos and discounts that shoppers can look forward to as part of the “40 Super Years” celebration of SM Supermalls.

A 40-day shopping extravaganza that runs from September to October offers over 4,000 deals across the 88 SM Supermalls nationwide. 

All SM Markets, including SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket, and Savemore, are doing a promo for loyal shoppers called “A Celebration of Everyday Wins” that offers exclusive discounts tied to the SM Advantage Card (SMAC). 

Shoppers will be given extra bonus SMAC points and limited-edition collectibles, bag charms, or plush for minimum purchases.

The celebration also features certain roadshows with games like spin-the-wheel with specific dates for different locations. 

Chocnut Turon

One of the highlights in SM Markets’ 40 Super Years celebration is the much-awaited comeback of the ‘SM Chocnut Turon,’ which is a creative take on the famous Pinoy merienda of a classic fried banana wrapped in a spring roll wrapper. 

First introduced in February 2022 as a limited edition treat, it was phased out earlier this year after it became unavailable in many branches. 

Good news! In September 2025, SM finally announced the return of this nostalgic favorite, sparking excitement among food lovers. 

Ivy’s family ended their grocery run with a fun food trip bonding over the famous Chocnut Turon.
