Team Payaman’s very own Vien Iligan – Velasquez and Doc Alvin Francisco were officially nominated in this year’s leg of Villa Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA). Read on to know why and how to show your support.
Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA) is an award-giving ceremony organized by Village Pipol and RED Entertainment, Inc., a Philippine-based publication company.
This annual event is also co-presented by Luxe Slim, owned by Ms. Anna Magkawas, which aims to acknowledge the people’s choices in categories such as Travel, Lifestyle, Technology, Business, and Entertainment.
An online nomination for the 6th VPCA was held from October to November 2024. The nominees were officially announced last January 29, 2025.
Known for her relatable motherhood & lifestyle contents, Team Payaman Wild Cat Vien Iligan-Velasquez was nominated in the “Lifestyle Influencer of the Year” category, alongside Jane De Leon, Kryz Uy, Michelle Dy, Jujumao, and Kimpoy Feliciano.
Vien’s lifestyle vlogs on YouTube mostly revolves around her marriage with Marlon Velasquez Jr., a.k.a Junnie Boy, and motherhood to their two children – Von Maverick, and Alona Viela.
Meanwhile, Doc Alvin Francisco, Team Payaman’s resident doctor, got nominated in the category of “Content Creator of the Year”, alongside Justine Luzares, Davao Conyo, Ychan Laurenz, Christian Antolin, and Steven Bansil.
Doc Alvin is known for creating informative content which debunks or clarifies various health topics, allowing more Filipinos to gain more knowledge in the medical field.
The online voting through social media voting and a partner app will be open from March 14 to April 15, 2025, with complete details of the voting mechanics to be announced soon. This will be followed by a red carpet and awarding ceremony in May.
