Mr. and Ms. PUP Biñan 2024: A Grand Showcase of Empowered Scholar Students

In celebration of the 15th founding anniversary of Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Biñan Campus, the Young Educators’ Society organized Mr. and Ms. PUP Biñan 2024. This event aims to highlight and promote the intelligence and compassion of their scholar-student candidates. 

Held on September 18, 2024, at the Pavillion Malls Activity Center, Biñan City, Laguna, the program showcased the candidates in their sportswear, evening gown, and formal attire. It also included a question-and-answer portion mainly revolving around their stance on relevant social issues.

The program also consisted of various dance and song performances prepared by PUP Biñan’s college students.

VIYLine Group of Companies is among the event’s major sponsors, while VIYLine Media Group (VMG) was its official media partner.

With the theme “A Tapestry of Empowerment and Elegance,” Judy Forteza, president of the Young Educators’ Society and head of the organizing committee, told VMG how they used the event not only to focus on beauty and aesthetics but also to share their university’s goal of producing empowered scholar students.

“We are the scholars po ng bayan, kami po ‘yung mga susunod na pag-asa ng bayan na ito. That’s why maganda pong platform or plataporma itong pageant na ito para mapakita hindi lamang ‘yung ganda, bagkus pati ‘yung talino at saka galing ng bawat isko at iska natin,” Forteza said. 

Moreover, she shared how the vision of Team Payaman content creator and entrepreneur Viy Cortez-Velasquez as a businesswoman inspired them and believed having VIYLine among its sponsors would encourage their candidates to aim for the crown.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa ating major sponsor na Viyline Cosmetics, specifically its CEO Ms. Viy Cortez-Velasquez, maraming salamat po sa pagpapa-unlak ng aming imbitasyon. And of course, her Viyline Media [Group] Team na napaka creative at sobrang excellent, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong time at commitment,” Forteza added.

Among other awards, Mr. and Ms. PUP Biñan 2024 title holders received a VIYLine package, including products from VIYLine Cosmetics,  VIYLine Skincare, and King Sisig in a Jar.
