Viyline Group of Companies Received Recognition as Donors of Caritas Manila

Viyline Group of Companies (VGC) recently received recognition from Caritas Manila for its contribution to the charitable organization’s social responsibility and community development programs.

On August 29, 2024, the non-profit organization of the Philippine Catholic Church organized a Thanksgiving luncheon called “Agape 2024: Isang Pasasalamat” at the Arzobispado de Manila in Intramuros. The event aimed to recognize the efforts of partners and donors in supporting Caritas Manila’s programs to help uplift people experiencing poverty. 

During the luncheon, Caritas Manila underscored the vital role of donors in fulfilling its mission to uplift those in need by providing livelihood and education. 

“You donors are the lifeblood of Caritas Manila… without you, generous donors, Caritas Manila would not exist at all,” Jose Luis Vera, one of Caritas Manila’s Board of Trustees, said. 

“Because it is through your generous donations that we are able to help the poor and needy, not only in Metro Manila but the whole country as well,” he added. 

Caritas Manila Executive Director Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual also expressed the charity organization’s gratitude for institutions and individuals’ support of its pro-poor programs. 

“Nawa lahat po sa ating mga donors at benefactors ay patuloy na magtiwala sa programa ng Caritas, at mapa sa inyo ang grasya ng inyong kagandahang loob, 360 a hundred fold,” Fr. Anton said. 

Meanwhile, Viyline Group of Companies General Manager Rolando Cortez said that the company sees this recognition as an opportunity to broaden their corporate social responsibility initiatives. 

“In behalf of Viy Cortez and my family, the Viyline Group of Companies, kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa ating Caritas Manila sa pangunguna ni Archbishop Advincula,” Mr. Cortez, the father of Viy Cortez-Velasquez said.

“Patuloy kaming tutulong anoman ang pangangailangan ng ating simbahan sa abot ng aming makakaya,” he added. 

To further support the organization’s programs, Viyline will also participate in this year’s Caritas Manila Segunda Mana Celebrity Bazaar, which will be held at Glorietta 1, Makati City.
