Cong TV Reveals the Story (and Price) Behind Viy Cortez’s Stunning Engagement Ring

It has been four days since Cong TV and Viy Cortez finally announced their engagement, and everybody is still over the moon over this epic marriage proposal that netizens have been waiting for. 

Since both vloggers rose to fame on YouTube, many have been waiting for Cong to finally ask for Viy’s hand for marriage. Now that the long wait is finally over, we’re sure everybody is dying to know the price tag of Viy’s stunning engagement ring. 

Ring hunt

In an exclusive interview right after the proposal, the 31-year-old Lincoln Velasquez told VIYLine Media Group (VMG) that he secretly planned to buy the ring while Viy was busy with her business. 

When asked how he got Viy’s exact ring size, Cong revealed that he has been going through Viy’s jewelry when she is not at home. 

Through the help of his ever-trusted executive assistant, Kevin Hufana, they tried to figure out Viy’s ring size by trying to fit them one-by-one. 

“Napakahirap. Marami siyang singsing sa bahay, pero hindi ko alam don kung saang (daliri) nya sinusuot yung mga yon. Ngayon nanghula na lang ako, tapos sumakto naman sa kanya,” Cong said. 

Other Team Payaman members also helped Cong TV to execute the plan, including Viy’s trusted driver, Michael Sabino. 

The ring

Cong TV bought Viy’s 3.27-carat diamond engagement ring from Manila Diamond Studio. The same jewelry store crafted other celebrity engagement rings, including Jesse Mendiola’s and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz’s custom-made barbell engagement ring. 

In a Kumu live stream session, Cong answered everybody’s question: “How much is Viy Cortez’s engagement ring?”

To which Cong replied: “Deserve ni Viy yung ring talaga, guys! Ayoko na lang i-ano (reveal yung presyo) basta yun na lang guys.”

But according to our sources, Cong TV spent a whopping 7-digit amount for Viy’s stunning engagement ring, whoa!

Speaking of Manila Diamond Studio, Viy Cortez revealed in her vlog that she recently bought a diamond set in the same jewelry store. But instead of getting a complete set, she opted to skip a diamond ring. 

“Bumili ako ng mga diamond sa kanila na susuotin ko para sa binyag ni Kidlat. Pangarap kong magkaroon talaga ng mga ‘diamonds are forever,’ pero yung binili ko, inalis ko yung singsing,” Viy said. 

“Kasi sabi ko, gusto kong ma-save yung feeling na si Cong ang unang magbibigay sakin ng diamond ring,” she added.
