Proud Pinoy Moment: Viyline Salutes Baao Children & Youth Choir for TICC 2026 Grand Prix Victory

Formed in 2014, the Baao Children and Youth Choir (BCYC) is an award-winning choral group originating from Baao, Camarines Sur. Composed of talented student-singers from Baao National High School and Rosary School Inc., the group performs under the baton of conductor Emmanuel Badong Ramos II.

The Baao Children and Youth Choir (BCYC) recently took their talent to Taiwan for the Taipei International Choral Competition, presented by the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation. Bringing home the ultimate Grand Prix Champion title, their monumental win officially punches their ticket to the 2027 World Choir Championship in Tokyo, Japan. 

Bringing their signature soulful vocals and unmatched dedication to the international stage, BCYC achieved a near-sweep with a lineup of awards:

• Grand Prix Champion
• 1st Place – Youth Choir Category
• 1st Place – Ethnic/Traditional Music Category
• 2nd Place – Sacred Category
• Best A Cappella Work – Laudate Dominum by Mark Raeniel Agpasa
• Best in Programming
• Best Conductor – Emmanuel Ramos II

This monumental achievement brings immense pride to BCYC’s musical director, Emmanuel Ramos II, who stands as one of the world’s youngest choral conductors to guide an ensemble to international victory.
