Following the successful market launch of TP Kids Building Blocks, the Viyline Group of Companies General Manager, Mr. Rolando B. Cortez, a.k.a ‘Papa WoW,’ has connected the material world with the spiritual through a new social initiative.

Papa WoW has unveiled the “Spiritual Discourse” Facebook Podcast Series, using the new TP Kids’ favorite as a powerful metaphor for building a meaningful life.

The inaugural installation, “Series 1: The Spiritual Side of TP Kids Building Blocks,” is a four-part message challenging listeners to re-examine their relationship with pain, purpose, and mental health.

The discourse systematically breaks down major life questions, from the root of stress to the meaning of death, offering spiritual tools to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Papa WoW stresses that a strong personal foundation, much like the blocks themselves, is essential for holistic wellness.

Mental Health for Strong Mind

The series immediately addresses the crucial link between faith and mental well-being, drawing on both personal experience and expert calls.

Papa WoW frames mental struggles not merely as psychological issues but as spiritual battles, positioning holistic wellness as a divine responsibility.

He reinforces the urgent need for mental health advocacy, citing Cebu Archbishop Abet Uy’s stark reminder: “Depression is real. We must care for our mental health.”

The discourse suggests that stress and suicidal thoughts originate from two main sources, urging self-awareness as the path to peace. These sources are categorized as:

  1. Internal: Attachment to the five senses (Hearing, Seeing, Touch, Taste, Smell).
  2. External (Kakusa): This is described as temptation and negative influence stemming from external social connections, specifically: Kaibigan (Friends), Kapamilya (Family), Kamag-anak (Relatives), Kapatid (Siblings), Kakilala (Acquaintances), and Katrabaho (Co-workers).

The offered solution is a balanced, holistic approach to life addressing five dimensions, summarized by the acronym PEPSI: Physical body, Emotion, Psychological, Spiritual, and Intelligence.

Suffering as Transformation

A core theme of the discourse is the acceptance of suffering as an inevitable, even necessary, phase for spiritual elevation—the process of “building” a new self. Life is defined as a journey from Sufferings to Metamorphosis (transformation), ultimately leading to a New Life.

This transformation is illustrated through the progression of tears—tears of pain, which initiate the process, lead to tears of transformation, culminating in tears of joy.

This journey begins with accepting the foundational mantra—life has positive and negative, promising a life full of hope and light.

Purpose

Countering feelings of despair, the series delivers a strong message of divine love and service. Papa WoW urges listeners to dedicate their lives to a higher calling, emphasizing that God wants nothing more than to give us a life full of grace and joy.

“Walang ibang gusto ang Diyos kundi bigyan tayo ng buhay na puno ng grasya at saya,” Mr. Cortez stated.

The series makes a profound call to action: “Instead of taking our own lives, let us be used by Jesus Christ… we are sure to have a place in His kingdom.”

The message is deeply personal, as Papa WoW shares his own survival story from suicidal thoughts, serving as a powerful, living example of how to turn personal suffering into a platform for service through the Strong Mind Foundation.

Wisdom and Legacy

The “Spiritual Discourse” is a powerful message for individuals seeking hope and a stark warning for parents to instill the right wisdom and knowledge in their children.

The message is clear: true healing requires balancing the spiritual and psychological, using life’s struggles as the necessary building blocks to construct a purposeful and grace-filled existence.

Papa WoW and the Strong Mind Foundation are dedicated to exploring meaningful spiritual topics to help you build a stronger life. What spiritual questions or challenges are you facing, mga Kapitbahay?
