In a Facebook post, vlogger Viy Cortez-Velasquez expressed willingness to lend her ethereal custom Leo Almodal bridal gown to a lucky bride-to-be.
“Gusto ko ipahiram ang wedding gown ko, gusto ko madaming babae na sobrang saya ng puso ang makapag suot sa kanya. Comment lang kayo dito kung gusto nyo at pasok sa tema ng kasal nyo, pipili ako,” Viy wrote.
Designed by couturier Leo Almodal, the white wedding dress weighs over 25 kilos and is covered with full Swarovski crystals.
Netizen reactions
As of this writing, the post has gained over 64K reactions and 9.5K comments, with netizens expressing reasons why they should be chosen.
Some female netizens left funny comments about wanting to borrow the gown despite not being engaged.
@Mae Trixy Dayrit: “Ako na ‘to!!! Kaso hanap muna ako ng groom”
Even some influencers and Team Payaman friends like Riva Quenery jokingly state her willingness to borrow Viy’s bridal gown.
“Pwede ba kahit hindi pa nagpo-propose?” Riva quipped in her comment.
Viy also stated that she aims to lend the gown to someone with the same size as her so that the gown will be well-preserved.
“Gusto ko din po ‘yung kasing size ko, ayoko po may mabago sa kanya.”
Meanwhile, some netizens raised their concerns regarding a Filipino wedding tradition of lending a wedding gown only a year after it was worn to avoid bad luck, which Viy quickly complied with.
“Madami po nagco-comment na 2025, 2026 ang wedding nila. Sakto po pipili ako para masunod ang pamahiin na sinasabi niyo,” Viy added.
Chosen ones
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old vlogger and entrepreneur shared in the comment section a screenshot of her conversation with Sunshine Bollire, among the lucky commenters and big Team Payaman fan who was chosen for her upcoming wedding in December 2025.
Viy also requested to attend Sunshine’s wedding so she could personally see the wedding gown on the altar.
“Thank you ma’am Viy for this wonderful opportunity! Matutuwa po parents ko,” Sunshine said.
Meanwhile, another lucky commenter that Viy also responded to is Ivy Dienne Dela Cruz.
Ivy shared in her comment that she is a cancer patient who aims to wed her fiance after her chemotherapy this November.
However, due to the aforementioned wedding tradition, Ivy shared in her TikTok post that Viy will lend her the fully embellished reception gown designed by Ryan A. Uson of Rau Atelier Weddings.
“Kahit maisukat ko lang po, masaya na ang puso ko,” Ivy said.
