City of Life Awards Names Viy Cortez as Entrepreneur of the Year in Biñan City

The City of Life Awards of the City Government of Biñan, Laguna named VIYLine OPC CEO Viy Cortez as the City’s Entrepreneur of the Year. 

The 27-year-old YouTube vlogger and entrepreneur expressed gratitude over the said recognition and says the award inspired her to do better in the business.

On May 17, Saturday, the City of Life Awards held a prestigious event at the Biñan People’s Center to honor and recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of companies and organizations in the economic development of the city.

Guests and awardees were greeted by the harmonious music of the Biñan Kawayan Music Ensemble during the welcome dinner. 

Vice Mayor Angelo Alonte officially opened the program by delivering a message for the outstanding guests, followed by a congratulatory message of support from Lone District of Biñan Representative Hon. Marlyn Alonte Naguiat.

Entrepreneur of the Year

Viy Cortez was named Entrepreneur of the Year for VIYLine OPC, alongside IDR. Wilhelmina Garcia, PIID of Junk Not Eco-Creatives, OPC.

Viy’s start-up business’ main office has been residing in Biñan City since 2021. It has expanded from headquarters to having its own fulfillment center and warehouse. 

Its multiple office building in Biñan served as home to the brands under the VIYLine Group of Companies namely VIYLine Cosmetics, VIYLine Skincare, TP Kids, Ivy’s Feminity, King Sisig in a Jar, VIYLine Print, and VIYLine Media Group. 

“The Viyline Family, my family, and I would like to thank God for we lived and worked in this city, a city of life and vibrancy,” Viy said during her acceptance speech. 

“Sa totoo lang po, hindi ko po inaasahan na makatanggap ng ganitong uri ng award. Lubos ang aking kasiyahan sa pagtanggap ng award na ito at naniniwala na mapapalago ko pa ang aking negosyo at maabot pa ang mithiin ko sa buhay,” she added. 

Viy also thanked her father, Mr. Rolando Cortez, who served as VIYLine’s General Manager, for his contribution to growing VIYLine OPC. 

“Gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa aking father… Pa, thank you so much sa aking mga magulang. Tinutulungan po nila ako upang mapalaki ang aking negosyo, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo.”
