‘Litrato’ Starring Ai-Ai Delas Alas Talks About the Realities of Elderly Life

A new promising family drama opens today in Philippine cinemas nationwide that will surely touch your hearts and leave you in tears. 

“Litrato” is a drama-comedy movie directed by renowned filmmaker Luisito Lagdameo “Louie” Ignacio, a screenplay by Ralson Javier, produced by 3:16 Media Network. 

It talks about the realities of elderly life, starring the country’s “Comedy Queen” Ai-Ai Delas Alas as Lola Edna, who suffers from dementia and stays in a healthcare facility for the elderly. 

This Louie Ignacio masterpiece also features other brilliant Filipino actors, namely Ara Mina, Bodjie Pascua, Liza Lorena, and Quinn Carrillo.

During the “Litrato” premiere night last July 21, 2023, at SM North Edsa, veteran actress Liza Lorena expressed how the movie touches her heart.

“‘Wag nyo pabayaan ang mga magulang niyo. At kung ilalagay nyo man sila sa ‘home for the aged,’ dalawin nyo,” Lorena added.

Meanwhile, social media film review page “Lakwatsera Lovers” described the film as “impressive” and a “must-watch” local movie.

“It is genuinely touching thanks to its quality stars that would definitely impress you in a searing drama that everyone could relate to,” Lakwatsera Lovers Facebook post reads.

“Direk Louie hasn’t lost his touch and continues to impress as always. A must-watch film next week if you want a different flavor in our local cinemas.”

VIYLine Group of Companies’ General Manager Rolando Cortez was also one of the fortunate viewers who saw the movie’s advanced screening. 

“Super ganda ng atake ng kwento, sa totoong buhay para sa mga nanay, para sa mga lola,” the father of YouTube vlogger Viy Cortez said.

He also commended how the movie opens up conversations about the importance of mental health, which Viyline Media Group also advocates. 

“Ang aming grupo kasi is also helping the society, katulad ng nabanggit niya kanina about mental health. Yun po yung aming mga project na darating po for Team Payaman and Viyline Media Group.
