LOOK: Cong TV and Viy Cortez Celebrate Baby Kidlat’s Christening

Cong TV and Viy Cortez officially welcomed their firstborn son, Zeus Emmanuel Cortez Velasquez, a.k.a Kidlat, to the Christian world after a star-studded baptism ceremony. 

The YouTube power couple celebrated Kidlat’s baptism on Thursday, Oct. 27, the same day as Cong TV‘s 31st birthday.

The adorable three-month-old baby received the Sacrament of Baptism at L’annunziata Parish in Muntinlupa City. The solemn ceremony was followed by a safari-themed party at Palazzo Verde in Las Piñas City.

The ceremony was officiated by L’Annunziata Parish priest Fr. Nelson Osorio, OSJ, who once appeared in one of Cong TV’s vlogs in 2021. Fr. Nelson, also known as the “Healing Priest,” is also a vlogger with over 138,000 YouTube subscribers. 

While the ceremony was short, it was filled with meaningful messages and lessons for Kidlat’s parents, grandparents, relatives, and official godparents. 

Star-Studded Binyagan

Aside from the complete entourage of the vlogger group Team Payaman, Kidlat’s baptism was also attended by some of the most sought-after vloggers and social media influencers in the Philippines. 

Aqua Cream by VIYLine Cosmetics‘ ambassadors Awra Briguela, Baninay Bautista, Michelle Dy, Sachzna Laparan, and Zendee Tenerefe was complete to witness Baby Kidlat’s milestone. 

Other vloggers present were Agassi Ching, Jai Asuncion, Donnalyn Bartolome, China Roces, Bont Bryan Oropel, Meiko Montefalco, Ciara Magallanes (Mommy Diaries), and more. 

Some of the most successful vloggers-turned-CEOs in the country also attended the joyous event, including Anna Magkawas of Luxe Beauty and Wellness Group, Nina Ellaine Dizon-Cabrera of Colourette Cosmetics, and Reese Tayag-Regua of R Fam Group of Companies (Sereese Beauty & R Kitchen Food).

In a Facebook post, Viy Cortez marked the occasion with a sweet and meaningful message to Baby Kidlat. 

“Happy Christening my love Kidlat. Nawa’y lumaki ka ng may pananampalataya at takot sa Diyos,” the 26-year-old first-time mom wrote. 

She also expressed her gratitude to all the family, friends, and colleagues who celebrated Kidlat’s milestone and Cong’s birthday with them. 

The VIYLine CEO also thanked all the suppliers who helped make the event possible. 

“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng pumunta. Sa mga ninong ninang pamilya namin sa mga kaibigan maraming maraming salamat mahal namin kayo, malaking parte kayo ng buhay namin. Salamat sa mga suppliers sobrang napaganda nyo ang event na ito.”
