Stunning Bridal Glow

Like any other wedding, we could not help but focus on Vien’s bridal gown. The vlogger-turned-entrepreneur wore a stunning off-white wedding gown designed by Mark Bride’s Manila.

The sweetheart-style ball gown shows off a charming but sultry vibe, thanks to its low-cut neckline, full bareback, and long tulle train.

Vien’s sophisticated bridal glow is courtesy of makeup artist Paul Unating, Team Payaman’s favorite hair, and makeup artist.

Meanwhile, Junnie Boy and their 3-year-old son Mavi look dapper in a matchy suit designed by Ryan A. Uson of Rau Atelier Weddings.

Wedding Preparations

In an exclusive interview, Vien told VIYLine Media Group (VMG) that she was so delighted when she first tried on her white dress.

“Masaya, talagang ikakasal na! Ganun pala yung feeling. Kailangan makita ka na mapapangasawa mo na ‘ay ang ganda nya sa puting gown.’ Siguro maiiyak talaga ‘to!”

Junnie and Vien also revealed why they chose to marry in the picturesque Divine Mercy Parish in Silang, Cavite.

“Ang non-negotiable (namin) yung simbahan mismo, kasi doon namin unang naisimba si Mavi noong wala pang pandemic,” Junnie Boy explained.

“1st birthday nya, doon din namin sya sinimba,” Vien added.

And speaking of revelations, the new Mr. and Mrs. Velasquez also told VMG that they both shared the expenses to make this dream wedding happen.

“Pero alam nyo ba, ang buong akala po ni Junnie Boy, kapag pinakasalan mo ang babae, sya (lalaki) lang ang gagastos. Sabi namin ni Madam: ‘Hindi! Hati tayo, sino nagsabi sayo nyan?’” Vien said.

“Pero nung kalagitnaan na, nagsisi ako, dapat pala hindi ko na sinabi na hati kami!” she quipped.

While it’s a gentlemanly gesture, Vien did not allow Junnie to pay off all the wedding expenses and willingly gave her contribution.

Wedding During Pandemic

Junnie and Vien were supposed to seal the deal during their 4th anniversary in January 2022, but due to the rise of COVID-19 cases at that time, the couple decided to postpone it.

After the unexpected turnout of events, Junnie advised soon-to-wed couples to take the planning seriously and always have a backup plan.

“Lagi nyong tatandaan may mga bagay na unexpected na nangyayari. So kailangan ready kayo, may plano kayo. Plan A, B, C, D. A to Z, kapag naubos na yon, may numbers pa!” Junnie said.

Moreover, Vien admitted that there are moments during the wedding planning that she could not help but unleash her inner bridezilla, which is very understandable as planning a wedding is not a walk in the park.

But thanks to their friend and secretary, Ms. Eve Marie Castro a.k.a “Madam” of Team Payaman, everything went smoothly as planned.
