Smart Parenting invited Team Payaman head Lincoln Velasquez, a.k.a. Cong TV, and his fiance, Viy Cortez, to play the “Who’s Most Likely To” challenge in the newest episode of Usap Tayo on their YouTube channel.
The Team Payaman power couple recently graced their first-ever cover story for Smart Parenting’s February 2024 issue.
Cong and Viy answered Smart Parenting’s questions while narrating their experiences as first-time parents to Zeus Emmanuel Velasquez, a.k.a. Kidlat.
Among the questions raised is “Who’s most likely to spend more time with Kidlat?” Cong and Viy answered by being grateful to have a job as content creators that provides them with more flexible time to focus on Kidlat’s growth.
The couple also acknowledged that not all parents have the luxury to spend time with their kids, such as those Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) or those with day jobs who have no choice but to sacrifice their time.
“Nung nagka-anak ako, talagang mas na-appreciate ko [ang] mga magulang ko, ganto n’yo pala ako kamahal talaga”, Viy said.
“Maiintindihan mo lang ako ‘pag nagka-anak ka na,” Cong added, looking back at what his parents usually say to them when they were younger.
In Smart Parenting’s question of being “most likely to always say yes to Kidlat,” the first-time parents shared how they practice the “good-cop, bad-cop” balance for Kidlat at a young age.
Meanwhile, Cong also reminded fellow parents to take care of their physical health by exercising daily to avoid being unable to bond with their kids when they grow older.
“Napaka-importante na alagaan natin ang mga katawan natin, tayong mga magulang. Masasabayan mo lahat ng trip n’ya sa buhay kung ikaw okay ka physically,“ he added.
There is no doubt that while Cong and Viy are very busy with their respective businesses and creating a lot of fun content for their YouTube followers, they are still hands-on parents to their firstborn son.
The engaged couple also said they look forward to giving Kidlat a sibling after their much-awaited wedding this year.
