Say goodbye to the dreadful commute along EDSA as our friendly “gentle giant” is back crashing out of SM Megamall’s high-definition LED billboard.
On Saturday, Aug 27, SM Megamall unleashed the “upgraded and extended” version of the three-dimensional Whale Shark immersive content. But this time, the famous “Butanding” is back with his fish friends, making commuters’ view more entertaining.
Featuring a massive Whale Shark in their first 3D LED Ad is SM Megamall’s way of paying homage to the Philippines, the country with the second largest population of Butanding worldwide.
While it is considered one of the largest creatures in the ocean, Whale Sharks capture the hearts of locals and foreigners with their friendly and charming grace in the sea.
Adrenaline junkies who wish to experience swimming with these gentle giants often travel to Cebu, Sorsogon, and Albay.
Lucky for us stuck in the Metro, no need to travel miles away to witness the beauty of one of the country’s endangered species. It is because SM Megamall has brought the Butanding experience while traveling across EDSA Mandaluyong.
Starting Aug 27, the public could enjoy the unique experience of watching a 3D Whale Shark swim with his fish friends every 6 PM daily.
Through this amazing 3D LED display, SM Megamall joins countries like China, Japan, and the USA with public attractions showcasing immersive displays. It also showcases the global creativity and skills of Filipino digital artists.
